Performer Invoices
- Individual performer invoices, payable to the performer, will be sent via email to you upon COMPLETION of the project. If special billing processes are required by you there may be handling fees.
Narrations
- Broadcast (Television/Movie) – Narration for television or movie (i.e. Documentary).
- Explainer Video – Narration for product video (Company website or YouTube). Product/client must be the same or individual products/clients will be billed individually. Material cannot contain promotional content or it will be billed as a commercial spot (Internet).
- Corporate Video – Narration for product video (Company website or YouTube). Product/client must be the same or individual products/clients will be billed individually. Material cannot contain promotional content or it will be billed as a commercial spot (Internet).
- Interactive Voice Response/Hold Messaging – Telephone answering consisting of simple prompts.
- E-Learning – Training Courses/Modules/Quizzes/Exams designed for either internal corporate use or for external sale.
Commercial Spots
- National Television or Radio – Broadcast in more than one (1) city (GTA is National).
- Major Television or Radio – Broadcast in one (1) city only.
- Internet – YouTube pre-roll, company website and/or any social media website (Promotional material).
Promo/Imaging
- Voice-overs that will be used to promote or create imaging for a company or television show/channel.
Animation
- Character voice-overs that will be used as a part of an animation program that is either television or internet-based.
Tags/Versions/Alts
- Tags are 1 to 3 word sentences, that usually have multiple variations, used at the end of a commercial. For example, a television commercial may require different price tags depending on the product being sold or the location/date that product is advertised.
- An Alt or a Version of the original voice-over. Rate is 50% of the booked spot rate per alternative version.
Bilingual Sessions
- Rates for sessions recorded in multiple languages, by the same performer, are simply RATE x number of languages.
International

Sample Rates
- Rates are per spot. The booked performer may be able to negotiate a lump fee for certain project sizes.
Recalls
- Recalls are based on short script changes to an already recorded voice-over. Applicable to projects less than six (6) months old. Cannot contain NEW material; only changes to words or phrasing directly related to the already recorded voice-over. Recalls are generally only $150.00 unless extensive.
Character Fees
- Booked performers charge a $50.00 per Additional Character Fee for any project that requires the Performer to alter their voice. The rate for usage contains one (1) main “Narrator” voice and anything in addition to that is charged.
Cancellation Fees
- APPLICABLE FOR SCHEDULED SESSIONS ONLY – You may be charged a cancellation fee if you do not notify VOX TALENT Inc. within six (6) business hours before the time of the SCHEDULED session.
Travel or Overtime
- APPLICABLE FOR STUDIO SESSIONS ONLY – Some performers may feel a travel fee is necessary, for sessions outside of Toronto.
- An average 0 to 10 minute narration or 1 to 2 commercial spot session should last no more than 1 to 2 hours. Some performers may feel an overtime fee is necessary if they are in studio for too long. Please consider this when booking. The overtime rate is $75/hour.
Editing
- Some performers may apply MINOR editing to provide quality voice files. This may include changes in equalization, compression, and/or noise removal.
- Breath removal is NOT included. Some performers may offer breath removal for an extra charge.
Contracts
- It is mutually understood that the session you book with the performer you hire is its own contract between you and the performer, and no guarantee is given that the performer will be available for further bookings, or that the performer will not do work for a competitor. All performers are free to charge as they wish, however the posted sample rates are generally accepted starting points.
Miscellaneous
- Depending on the request and the selected performer(s) the rates are negotiable. All performers are free to charge as they wish, however the posted sample rates are generally accepted starting points.
- A few performers have indicated specific rates for certain conditions. To find out if that is the case please click on RATES on the selected performer’s profile page, if the sample rates page does not appear, you will be prompted to reach out to the agency for more information.
- Rates INCLUDE voice-over services and delivery of the dry read via FTP at no additional charge for the transfer and temporary storage.
- Editing, multiple file delivery, and custom audio formats are available for an additional fee if required or requested.
- Rates are per language, in case a bilingual performer is required.
- Custom auditions are provided for FREE at no charge.
- Explainer video and corporate video used online – Narration for product video used online. Product/client must be the same or individual products/clients will be billed individually. Material cannot contain promotional content or it will be billed as a commercial spot (Internet).
Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction.
These terms and conditions govern the booking between the artist (the “Performer”) and yourself (the Engager”). VOX TALENT Inc. (“VOX TALENT”) is acting as an agent on behalf of the Performer and is not responsible for any actions, inactions, inabilities and/or incompatibilities of the Performer.
2. Confirmation of Booking.
Submission of this form constitutes an offer to hire the Performer to provide the described services on the these terms and conditions, and does not guarantee the availability of, and/or acceptance by, the Performer requested. VOX TALENT will send the Engager a confirmation of booking once the Performer has accepted the requested booking, and upon the delivery of that confirmation, VOX TALENT will, as agent of the Performer, be deemed to have accepted on behalf of the Performer these terms and conditions.
3. Unavailability of the Performer.
3.1 VOX TALENT and the Performer will have no liability to the Engager if the Performer requested is not available on the date and/or time, regardless of whether or not the schedule information provided on VOX TALENT’s website, verbally, or by other means indicates that the Performer is available.
3.2 In the event that more than one request for the Performer is made at the same date or time, the request that is received first will be presented to the Performer for consideration.
4. Right to Deny.
VOX TALENT and the Performer reserve the right to deny any order, booking, hold or request made, without providing any reason.
5. Cancellation and/or Modification of a Session.
Without a prior agreement between the Engager and Performer, a session cannot be modified or cancelled by the Engager within 6 business hours of a session. If the Engager cancels within this timeframe, VOX TALENT may restrict the Engager from submitting bookings through the website or otherwise refuse to present requested bookings to the Performer.
6. GST and HST.
Some Performers charge Goods and Service Tax (the “GST”), or Harmonized Sales Tax (the “HST”). The Engager agrees to pay the GST or the HST in addition to the session rate.
7. Invoicing.
All invoices for sessions with the Performer will be delivered to the Engager at the email address provided for in the booking form.
8. Payment of Fees.
8.1 The Engager will pay the invoice of Performer, including any applicable taxes within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.
8.2 Payments must be made payable to the Performer and mailed within 30 days of session to:

9. Late Payment.
9.1 All overdue invoices will accrue interest at a rate of 5% annum.
9.2 The Engager will indemnify and hold harmless the Performer for all expenses (including legal fees on a solicitor-client basis), court fees, and damages suffered by the Performer in enforcing these terms and conditions and in collection of any invoice issued to the Engager.
10. Re-Engagement of the Performer.
10.1 There is no guarantee by VOX TALENT or the Performer that the Performer will be available for further bookings.
10.2 The Performer is not restricted from working for a competitor of the Engager.
11. Third Parties.
All services will be deemed a direct transaction between the Engager and Performer and not subject to confirmation, approval or payment from third party.
12. Artificial Intelligence.
12.1 The Engager expressly agrees not to utilize any portion of the Performer’s file, recording or performance of Performer for purposes other than that specified in the initial booking between the Engager and the Performer.
12.2 The Engager shall not utilize any recording or performance of the Performer to simulate the Performers voice or likeness, or to create any synthesized or “digital double” voice or likeness of the Performer.
12.3 The Engager specifically agrees not to sell or transfer ownership to all or part of any of the original files recording the performance of the Performer to any third party for purposes of using the files for Artificial Intelligence, such as text to speech, or speech to speech uses, without the Performers knowledge and consent.
12.4 The Engager agrees not to enter into any agreements or contracts on behalf of the Performer which utilizes all or part of any of the original files recording the performance of the Performer for purposes of using the files for Artificial Intelligence, such as text to speech, or speech to speech uses, without the Performers knowledge and consent.
12.5 The Engager agrees to use good faith to prevent any files of recordings or performances stored in digital format containing the Performers voice or likeness from unauthorized access by third parties, and if such files are stored in “the cloud” the Engager agrees to utilize services that offer safeguards through encryption or other “up to date” technological means from unauthorized third party access.
13. Jurisdiction.
All services ordered are deemed contracted within and subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and that the City of Toronto is the forum of execution, performance, payment, law, and remedy for any breach, default, or delinquency.
Privacy Policy
VOX TALENT Inc. (“VOX TALENT”, “us” or “we”) values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. We use the words “personal information” in this privacy policy to describe information that identifies you. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) contains information about how we collect, use, disclose and secure your personal information we receive through your interactions with VOX TALENT. It also described your rights and choices regarding your information.
Application of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect from you in a variety of ways. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third party services, third party websites or third party platforms such as social media platforms that we do not control.
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes we make to this Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page. The updated policy will take effect upon posting to this page.

What personal information we collect
In the course of conducting business with you, VOX TALENT collects the following information from you:
- Identifier and contact information from engagers: such as name, company, address, telephone number, fax number and email address
- Identifier and contact information from artists: name, stage name, address, email address, telephone number, age, language information, Canadian Audio Visual Certification Office Number, Society of Accredited Voice Over Artists information, social insurance number, proof of citizenship and residency, banking information, tax and corporation numbers, career details, photographs and voice demos
- Project details: such as location, name, type, language, links to external files, videos and websites
- Financial information: such as credit card and payment information
On our website, we may collect your Internet Protocol (the “IP”) address and send you cookies. “Cookies” are a small text file that a website or application can send to your computer’s browser to collect and record information about your use of that website or application. Specifically we may use cookies to:
- Automatically collect technical data such as the type of internet browser you use, the language of your browser, the website from which you have come to the site, the webpages you view on our website, the links you clicked on our website, and your IP address (the unique address which identifies your computer on the internet).
- Identify unique users and understand their navigation during a visit to our website. Why do we use your information
VOX TALENT will only collect information about you that is necessary to achieve the purpose identified in this Privacy Policy.
VOX TALENT collects information from you for the following reasons:
- To provide information on our services that may be of interest to you
- To contact you, when necessary, regarding issues concerning your use of our services
- To better understand your needs, as input to future product and service development plans
- To obtain information about your qualifications and skills if you submit your demo to us for the purposes of being listed with VOX TALENT and the information may be legally required.
- To diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and contact you to resolve such technical problems.
- To administer VOX TALENT’s website.
We will obtain your consent prior to the collection, use or disclosure of your information. Consent may be express or implied. Implied consent means that you provide the information to us and the purpose of providing such information would be clear to you, even if we did not state it. Our privacy policy, however, does not limit VOX TALENT from collecting and using information that is publicly available. This means, for instance, your name and business email address could be added to our email and / or postal communication list so that we can provide further information to you on our products and services.
How we use your personal information we collected
VOX TALENT will use the information you provide only for the purposes identified in this policy. We will not use this information for any other purpose unless we have obtained your consent.
VOX TALENT will only disclose information about you to its affiliated companies, distributors, and to authorized agents that assist us in performing our functions for the limited purposes listed above. Our agents may include companies and individuals that process credit card transactions.
We will not sell or otherwise disclose the information collected from you to other third parties, except in those limited cases where we are legally required to do so (such as in response to a court order, or disclosure to a public body to assist in an investigation).
We will retain the information that we have collected from you only so long as it is necessary to achieve our stated purposes or if it is legally required that we retain such information.
How we protect personal information
We securely keep your information for as long as we reasonably require it, either for business purposes, to comply with any legal obligations, or for as long as we are contractually obliged. Please note that if you request deletion of your personal information, we may retain your personal information for as long as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as prevention of money laundering, fraud detection and prevention, and enhancing safety, and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
Access to sensitive personal information is limited to those individuals and agents having a need to know.
When we engage a third party service provider to collect or otherwise process personal information on our behalf, the third party is selected carefully and will be required to have appropriate data protection agreements and security measures in place.
Transfer of Personal Information Outside of Canada and the EEA
VOX TALENT’s operational center is located in Canada. Canada has robust and comprehensive laws that protect your personal information. The European Commission has recognized Canada as an “adequate” jurisdiction that offers a level of data protection similar to the EEA.
However, we may need to transfer your personal information across international borders to countries that have different levels of data protection laws than the country from where you submitted your personal information. We want to keep your personal information accurate and we will provide you with access to your information and the opportunity to change your information.
